1.First of all ,take time to learn about the khukuri because being a sharp weapon can slice the targets  as faster as one can imagined or expected.

2. A khukuri is the most strongest ,bravest and the sharpest tool which can be used for many useful tasks so treat it with more attention and respect.

3.While griping it, one should have good attention on it and should be done in the right way otherwise it will bring serious injury especially a loose grip will slip from the hand.

4.It is necessary to choose the right khukuri for the right job because thin and lighter khukuri should not be use for big purposes like chopping firewood ,making tents etc.Lighter khukuri is good for cutting smaller branches,clearing bushes,gardening etc.

                                             PRECAUTIONS

1.As the khukuri is a sharpen weapon everyone shoul be careful while using and storing it.

2.Keep it away from children's reach.

3.Do not hold scabbard unsparingly while plucking out the knife from the scabbard,it will be a cause  of serious injury.

4.Protect the blade from stone and metal or other things.

5.Apply machine gun oil,kitchen oil or animal fat on the blade regularly every time after use for preventing it from rusting.Keep polishing scabbard regularly.

6.Not to leave any fingerprint.If it is necessary to touch the blade,at the mean time should clean the blade.

7.Incase of rusting,rub it off with fine sandpaper,clean the dirt using some oil or petrol and wipe it off with clean cloth and apply oil again .

8.Use shoe polish for the leather case,brass polish or silver polish for brass fittings or for silver fittings.
